This spring, the Norwegian Government will present a White Paper on Development and cooperation with the Private Sector. Minister of EEA and EU Affairs, Vidar Helgesen gives us a preview and presents Norwegian priorities. Mary Hallward-Driemeier, co-leader of the World Bank´s Jobs Knowledge Platform, shares findings on expanding job opportunities in developing countries.
This event marks the launch of a new research programme at CMI, Employment for the Poor. The presentations will be followed by a panel debate with Mary Hallward-Driemeier (World Bank), Director General Petter Ølberg (MFA), Professor Kjetil Bjorvatn (Norwegian Business school) and Espen Villanger, Programme Leader and Senior Researcher (CMI).
