Political scientist with a background in international relations and political philosophy. Focused on aid, corruption, governance and natural resource management.
Williams' current work concentrates on the effectiveness of development aid policy in relation to corruption in particular natural resource contexts, sectors and programmes. Williams has experience in research, policy analysis, project management and training. He has undertaken research-focused and capacity building assignments in Cambodia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia, Macedonia, Mozambique, Pakistan, South Africa, and Vietnam.
He holds an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Kent at Canterbury in the United Kingdom. He has previously served as a policy researcher for Transparency International, based in Berlin, where he developed the organization's first working- and policy-paper series.
