Social anthropologist with twenty five years experience from applied and academic work on gender and migration patterns in South Asia. Thematic foci of recent projects; Gender assistance in reconstruction and peacebuilding, Women's access to justice under plural law ; Women and human rights under Islamic law. Ethnographic competence based on longer anthropological field work in Pakistan, and several shorter field studies and commissioned evaluations in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
