Conflict in South Kordofan

Small Arms Survey, Sudan Human Security Baseline Assessment, July 2012

This report summarizes different aspects of the conflict in South Kordofan as of the end of June 2012.

The conflict in South Kordofan is a renewal of the long-lasting conflict centered in the Nuba Mountains during the Sudanese civil war. The humanitarian situation in the area is bleak. This report from Small Arms Survey states that only a political solution is likely to end the conflict.
