In this seminar, Magnus Hatlebakk, senior researcher at CMI,will present the decline in poverty for different regions and social groups in Nepal, and discuss possible causes for the decline, and policies that may lead to further improvements.
Hatlebakk has been analyzing living standards data and conducted surveys and fieldworks in rural Nepal since 1997, and has published papers and books on the underlying mechanisms that may explain rural poverty.
