Prof. S.K. Sitrampalam is senior professor in History and Head of Postgraduate Studies, University of Jaffna. He has published widely on the history of Sri Lankan Tamils. Currently he is working on the peace process and is often used as a resource person by Centre for Policy Alternatives and other groups involved in peace research. Professor Sitrampalam is currently visiting research institutions in Scandinavia, the international community and the peace process, tole of India in resolving the ethnic conflict and suggestions for the consolidation of the peace process.

Erik Solheim is special advisor in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has worked with the peace process as since 2000.
