On January 18, Argentinean prosecutor Alberto Nisman was found dead in his home. This happened the exact day before he was to testify in Congress after he had accused Argentinian President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner of conspiring with Iran to subvert the prosecution of a 1994 terrorist attack at the Buenos Aires Jewish Centre, which had killed 85 people.
