Bergen Seminar in Development Economics

Robert Lensink (Groningen) and Carol Newman (Dublin) are visiting CMI for the spring Bergen seminar in development economics. There will be papers on son-preference in South-Asia, technology transfers and foreign investments in Vietnam, the role of IMF for foreign aid flows, and on financial literacy in rural Rwanda.

Indonesia expert

Dr. Kari Telle is a Social Anthropologist who has worked extensively on issues related to socio-religious change in Indonesia. Telle will work on the new Politics of Faith programme where she will study religious mobilization and the politics of 'security' in post-Suharto Indonesia.
