Sidan oppstarten i 2008 har 1470 irakiske asylsøkjarar returnert til heimlandet gjennom IRRINI-programmet. Programmet er basert på frivilleg heimreise. Sjølv om fleirtalet av dei returnerte er nøgde med programmet, syner ei ny evaluering at dei fleste irakarane opplever returen som langt frå frivilleg.
