Current projects

PhD candidate focusing on sustainable job creation.

Monica Beeder is an NHH Ph.D. Research Scholar and she is working on the ‘Education for sustainable job creation’ project in Ethiopia. Within this project, she will work on developing a randomized field experiment to explore whether and how improved employer-employee relations within medium-sized firms can increase revenues and create jobs.

She holds an MA in Economics from the University of Bergen where her focus was on economic shocks and drug-related violence in Colombia.

Previously she has been studying Political Economy, Peace and Conflict Studies, Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin-American culture studies in Argentina, Brazil, Nepal, Nicaragua, Portugal, and Spain.
