The Norwegian aid programme to South Africa is scheduled to end in 2004. NORAD and the National Treasury in South Africa have commissioned an independent review of the aid programme and other aspects of Norwegian-South African relations since 1994. The primary purpose of the review is to provide recommendations for future relations between the two countries and how the co-operation can be facilitated and strengthened. CMI is responsible for the review, which is being carried out by a joint team of Norwegian and South African consultants.
