The SNAC project has put together a short film on how to collect oral history data. This introduction covers how to start an interview, how to ensure consent, ethical considerations as well as the use of basic technology (cell phone, tripods), lighting and sound. It is primarily directed towards students and staff in Sudan who wish to use this method in their research, but it also contains useful tips and advice for others who want to collect oral history data in a similar manner.
