Students become part of the institute's daily life and activities, Every student is assigned a contact person. CMI offers a private working space in a reading room (shared by eight). You present and dicuss your work in in-house seminars. You have easy access to our specialised library on development research in The Bergen Resource Centre for International Development and the opportunity to present and discuss papers and thesis chapters. Your grade point average must be B.

CMI sometimes accepts applications from the above groups and others. Since these fall outside the usual student program and staff positions available at CMI, it is recommended that candidates present their applications through the institutions to which they are affiliated.
