Voluntary Return to Afghanistan from Norway: What Happened?

In the fall of 2005, Norwegian authorities entered a threeparty agreement with Afghan authorities and UNHCR on voluntary return of Afghan refugees from Norway. The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) started the co-operation project "Return to Afghanistan"

The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) has commissioned this evaluation in order to gain more knowledge on whether the programme led to reintegtation and permanent resettlement, and on how the various programme components contributed.
