Increased U4 Anti-Corruption activity
CMI's biggest project, the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre, embarks on a new and expanded Phase II on 1 February 2005. Two new countries, Canada and Sweden, have joined the project Norway, the U.K, the Netherlands and Germany started in 2002. The total budget for the new period will be £1 310 000.
A new focus area on Public Financial Management will be developed and added to the existing ones on the Health sector and the Education sector. U4's anti-corruption course activity, both online and in-country, will be improved and expanded by developing new specialised training modules.
By the end of 2007 over 600 agency staff will have undergone Anti-Corruption training under the auspices of the U4 Resource Centre. Transparency International's London office is CMI's associated partner.
