Master's student

Master's student in Global Development focusing on women's rights and their agency concerning condom negotiation.

Kaia Helgemo Lindtner is a student at the master’s Programme Global Development Theory and Practice at the University of Bergen. She has a bachelor’s degree in Global Development from the University of Agder

(UoA) where she wrote her bachelor thesis on Risky sexual behaviour and HIV/AIDS transmission in Uganda together with a fellow student Maren Broman Woxholt.

As a student, she has done fieldwork in Sri Lanka, Uganda and South Africa. She also has a deep understanding of Latin-America through living in Brazil for 1,5 years and Chile for six months.

At the master’s level, she did fieldwork in the fall semester of 2019 in collaboration with the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She is currently writing her master’s thesis on women’s agency and condom negotiation in a township outside of Pretoria.
