Master's student in Economics focusing on drug-related violence in Latin America.
Monica Beeder is currently doing a Master’s degree in Economics at the University of Bergen. She took a bachelor’s degree in Political Economy and wrote her bachelor’s thesis on financial crisis and drug consumption. She was an exchange student at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain and she studied Economics in Portugal.
Monica has also studied Peace and Conflict Studies in Nepal and Spanish, Portuguese and Latin-American culture studies in Nicaragua, Argentina and Brazil. She was also a trainee at the Norwegian embassy in Brasília, Brazil. She is currently writing her master thesis about economic shocks and drug-related violence in Colombia.
