Moosavi Karimi is director of the Human Rights Center at Mofit University in Qom. Ahmad Irvani is professor of Islamic Law at Center for the Study of Culture and Values, at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.

Karimi is the founder and Director of the Center for Human Rights Studies at Mofid University in Qom, Iran. He chaired and organised the Third International Conference on Human Rights: Identity, Difference and Human Rights, in Qum in Iran in 2005. He is the Editor in Chief of Journal of Human Rights and for the quarterly journal Nameh-ye Mofid, both published at Mofid University,

Irvani has been advisor to the Muslim Committee of the US Institute of Peace, Washington D.C.and the International Center for Religion & Diplomacy, Washington, His has published several books. His most recent is Islam and the Political Order, Global Scholary Publication, New York, 2005, which he edited with George McLean.
