The Development Learning Lab (DLL)  has launched its first DLL pilot in cooperation with Save the Children and Norwegian Church Aid on their programmes to end FGM and child marriage in Ethiopia.

The pilot includes a systematic knowledge review as well as preparations for a baseline that will make it possible to monitor and measure real impact, and to understand how the interventions are working.

Norwegian NGOs are interested in closer co-operation with research institutions and a more research-based approach to their development projects. These pilots will be an opportunity to test the DLL-concept and this new way of working.

DLL is also planning pilot projects on job creation, economic empowerment and climate adaptation in close dialogue with development partners.

DLL aims to help donors and development actors with reliable information about what works and why, and will be a way of working as well as an arena where researchers, practitioners and policy makers inspire and learn from each other through knowledge and experience-sharing.
