Flere europeiske land har foreslått nye tiltak for å løfte på slørene som skjuler personer som står bak selskaper i skatteparadiser. Ett av tiltakene er et internasjonalt register over dem som reelt sett drar nytte av selskapene Forskningsdirektør Arne Wiig ved Chr. Michelsens institutt mener at denne typen ordninger langt fra løser hele problemet.
