A U4 webinar has highlighted how, despite lockdowns, civil society can still play an anti-corruption role, monitoring Covid-19 emergency support. By turning to online collaboration, citizens can track how governments and agencies distribute and spend funds. This ensures help reaches those most in need, rather than being siphoned off or hoarded. Cases from The Gambia, Nigeria, and South Africa also show how online coordination can actually improve how civil society works.
