Former Armed Groups in Power and Post-war Youth Policies

This presentation was given as a part of the Politics after War Network, where scholars were invited to be a part of the UN Department of Peace Operation’s symposium on  Demobilisation, Disarmament and Rehabilitation (DDR) and to launch the network’s research brief  series on the topic of political transformation of armed groups (in collaboration with Folke Bernadotte Academy and UN Dept of Peace Operations). 

A high level meeting was followed by an interactive  session with the UN practitioners, with a plenary Q & As, followed by multiple breakout conversations on specific themes and interlinkages between DDR & research brief topics, one of them on youth policies.
