Ugandan oil development is proceeding at pace and significant work has already been undertaken to build institutional and legal frameworks to manage the oil wealth. This Virtual Scoping Workshop built on U4 research and engagement on anti-corruption effectiveness in the extractives sector, contributing analysis, insights and discussions of relevance to supporting international cooperation for Ugandan oil governance. The objectives were to: (i) explore corruption challenges faced by oil producers, including Uganda; (ii) share evidence, research insights and experiences of the effectiveness of anti-corruption interventions (e.g., EITI); (iii) identify sub-topics for further study and workshopping.
