Economist focusing on taxation and education

Adrien Dautheville is an NHH-CMI PhD Research Scholar working on the "Succesful Advances in Fiscal ARchItecture (SAFARI): Evidence from a new tax in Zanaibar" project in Tanzania. Within this project, he will try to shed light on the driver of tax compliance and investigate if the new tax impairs revenues collected from other taxes, using a randomized gradual roll-out of the tax and filed experimemts. 

He is also working on another project in Tanzania, aiming to study the implememtation of a job readiness program for Form IV students (16-17 years old) combining soft-skill training and Role Model. The Methodology will be based on a Randomized Control Trial, with extensive survey data and network analysis.

He previously work as Research Assistant on the impact of violence on education in Bihar (India), and on the impact of land right formalization on female empowermemt in Benin 

Adrien holds a MA in economics from the Paris School of Economics (PSE), where he specialized in Public Policy and Development, and a Bachelor in Economics and Management from Paris I-Sorbonne University.
