As the international community moves towards adoption of a new set goals to succeed the 2015 Millennium Development Goals, a key question is whether the priorities of the developing countries themselves will be adequately reflected.  Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) Dhaka and former Bangladesh Ambassador to the WTO and UN Office in Geneva discusses the post-2015 priorities.

Deb Bhattacharya is the convener of the Southern Voice on Post-MDGs - a global initiative involving 48 think tanks drawn from South Asia, Africa and Latin America. The Southern Voice seeks to contribute to the discussions and policy processes on a new development framework after 2015, and fill an important gap in the debate, which so far has seen limited input from Southern think tanks. The Southern Voice on Post-MDGs is undertaking a series of research, policy analysis and outreach activities throughout 2013 and 2014. This will be an opportunity to share ideas and information on the on-going post-2015 processes and their evolving agenda.
