Corruption and Anti-Corruption in the Procurement of Medicines
Presented at: University of Bergen School for International Health Annual Symposium. April 23, 2014
The presentation analyzed corruption risks in the procurement of medicines, and offered some reflections on the reason why some anti-corruption approaches to procurement of medicines have failed, particularly in light of the dichotomy between the principal-agent and collective action models. Some of the elements elaborated on findings from U4 publications and workshops. In the end, a framework was presented for anti-corruption approaches to medicines procurement.
The presentation was part of a series of seminars organized by the University of Bergen School for International Health. Some 35 PhD students and health experts attended.
