Economist working on taxation and state capacity
Ingrid's primary research agenda concerns taxation, development and accountability. Her research aims to understand citizens' taxpayer behavior and demand for accountability, as well as how taxation shapes government accountability and state capacity. Ingrid is also working on intra-household decision-making and has intrests in global health. She is currently involved in the following projects at CMI:

Ingrid has a PhD in economics from FAIR at the Norwegian School of Economics and her thesis employed lab-in-the field, survey and online experiments. Prior to joining CMI, Ingrid worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at MISUM at Stockholm School of Economics and Centre for Applied Research at NHH (SNF).
