Economist working on development, taxation and state capacity
Ingrid is a Post Doctoral Researcher at CMI. Her primary research agenda concerns tax, development and accountability, with a focus on understanding citizens' taxpayer behavior and demand for accountability. She is also working on intra-household decision-making and has intrests in global health. Ingrid is involved in the projects Tax Compliance, VAT Revenues and Business Development in Tanzania and Public Services, Security and the Legacy of pre-colonial states in Uganda.
She has a PhD in economics from FAIR at the Norwegian School of Economics and her thesis employed lab-in-the field, survey and online experiments. Prior to joining CMI, Ingrid worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at MISUM at Stockholm School of Economics and Centre for Applied Research at NHH (SNF).
Ingrid has previously worked as research assistant at CMI, and she was affiliated with the institute while writing her master thesis. She holds a master in economics from the University of Bergen.
