High-quality early childhood care and education (ECCE) are vital for empowering mothers and improving childhood development outcomes. This is crucial in low- and middle-income countries where women struggle to engage in economic activities due to motherhood and children lack opportunities for early learning. This workshop brings together leading researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange evidence and experiences that can strengthen early childhood programming and inform future research. Through presentations on early childhood care in Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda, the program highlights both empirical insights and implementation lessons, aiming to inspire collaboration and generate actionable ideas for policy and practice.
